Do I have any confidence in a win tonight? No. Even if the Cavaliers were playing anything approaching professional basketball, I think a team like Denver is exactly the sort of team that reveals our flaws. In that they have players that actually play roles in different aspects of the game, such as a PG who distributes and actually runs the offense, Andre Miller. Plus Marcus Camby basically is the equivalent this season of Drew Gooden and Zydrunas added together.
AI should provide enough firepower to overcome whatever LeBron manages on his jell-o legs. If Melo were back I might predict a blowout. He's always sort of had LeBron's number anyway. But without C. Anthony, Nuggets 104 - Cavs 93.
I'm not sure how much of this is sour grapes and sheer frustration, but I will be shocked if we come away with a W tonight.

Somehow I imagined that the Cavs had two days off between back-to-backs. Guess not. I basically agree with your frustrations. The only glimmer of hope in my mind is that the Nuggets tend to play far worse than the sum of their parts. They may get better with Melo, but they haven't even been OK without him. That said, they're at home against a tired, struggling team, so you kind of have to assume they'll find a way to pull it out.
I'm curious to see if Gibson will get some looks tonight. He was playing very few minutes lately, until last night. If the rest of the team still has no legs, I'd like to see him get another opportunity to play 20+.
andre miller has turned into allen iverson, via trade. and then the nuggets traded earl boykins to the bucks for their new "ball-distributing first, scoring second" PG, steve blake. as far as a first class PG, this is a downgrade. but of course, the nuggets at full strength will be a wild mixture of overly strong elements, not unlike the basketball equivalent of a LONG ISLAND ICED TEA.
Phoebe points out that she is 1 inch taller than "early" earl boykins. and that's his *listed* height, which we can assume to be at least 1 inch overstated . . .
Like Long Island Ice Teas, will the Nuggets convert a mixture of potent liquors into a blend which, while on the surface feels mild and sweet, will knock you out or at least get you to take your top off? I guess what I am asking is, will be Nuggets end up 6th, 7th or 8th in the west and in the NBA finals?
