If the Warriors weren't playing in LA tonight, since they play approximately 11.9 miles from our house and since by all accounts they seem to have SIX eligible players for tonight's game, I would hereby nominate Jake to suit up and go join Thunder and the boys over in Oakland. When is the last time a game was forfeited for lack of eligible players? Is it simply customary for players involved in a trade not to play to prevent injury, etc., or do they become contractually ineligible to play for the old team the instant the trade is made?

I'm ready, coach, I'm ready!! I have been studying the principles of NELLIE-BALL and am ready to jump on jet blue down to the staples center and put these concepts into action. Or perhaps I could catch a ride with Thunder himself, who, as it is claimed in his mascot bio, is lighter than air. Indeed!
Also, on local sports radio, they were praising Chris Mullin (and echoing Phoebe's sentiments), that the real accomplishment of this trade is not yielding to the bargaining pressure to give up Monta Ellis or Andris Biedrins. Hat trick! We still have Baron Davis and Jason Richardson (the just-below-all-star-caliber talents) plus Ellis and Biedrins (the future of the team) and adding Harrington and Jackson for a scoring punch is a serious upgrade. Also, I discovered the silver lining about J-Rich's injury. Check it out: Earlier in the season, while he was playing about every other game on an injured knee, he even admitted, "this is not going to get better this season without a lot of rest." Well, he broke his wrist. His wrist, people! He'll be back in 5 weeks or so with a healed wrist (that is statistically unlikely to be re-broken) and knees that will actually be rested. GO THUNDER:
