"I'm 57 years old"

That's a very odd and unconvincing reason to give for quitting your managerial gig with a winning team in the middle of the season. Will it come out that Hargrove was taking performance-enhancing manageroids?

If he ends up as an assistant coach on an NBDL team I'll be convinced that he is serving a secret suspension for gambling. Selig has to keep it quiet because a scandal involving a manager as universally beloved as Grover could destroy baseball forever.

I hope the Mariners announce that their new manager is ... Mrs. Doubtgrove.
